Here is a list of some frequently asked questions that can assist you in finding the information you need."
Can i bring my Dog
Sorry Te Kouma Heights Glamping has a no dog policy as we are a working farm and there are Kiwi present in the surrounding Native Bush areas.
We Have our own 4x4 Vehicle can we use this to access the tent instead of the provided ATV
Due to health and safety requirements we don't allow Private vehicles driven on the farm land sorry. Or though the tent can be accessed my 4x4 the track along the top of the hill is narrow and the ATV has more visibility.
What time is Check in and Out
Check in is 2pm Check out is 11am
This does mean 11am back at your car. We do consider 11am to be a late check out compared to some accommodations and ask you do respect this time as we do often have back to back bookings and require significant time to clean between guests.
Is there Power at the tent
Yes there is power at the tent powered by solar power. This is a great system strong enough to run power points for charging, fridge water pump, toaster and Lighting. We do however ask to not use high powered items such as hair dryers as this can damage the inverter. We also ask during low sun days please be mindful of power used turning of lights etc when not in use as you may run out. Please also be mindful of guests checking in after you. This isn't usually a problem but during the winter months especially we can have multiple cloudy days.
Why do you have a two night min stay
Currently we have a two night min stay as we don't live on site and we do the change overs and cleaning. It would be a lot of travel to change over on a daily basis. We do have nights were there have gaps and we may open this up to a single night these are always listed on our site and social media. This is also one of the reasons for the price difference in the single night stay. Another reason is we need to do the same amount of cleaning and laundry for a two night stay and a single night.
Is my car safe in the car park
Yes it is. We have a secure car park which is not visible to the road or public to enter the car park we will send you a code for the gate
Is there a supermarket or restaurants close by
If traveling from Thames you will go past a Pak n Save supermarket this is a great option to stock up but dont stress if you miss it as 5 min into Coromandel town is a Four Square supermarket which is well stocked.
Coromandel town also has a great range of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs.
Can I bring my Children
Te Kouma Heights is a retreat set for two people. We do not have the facilities for children or the space for extra bed.
Safety is also very important to us and the ATV only has 2 seat belts.
